Vladimir Moiseev

VLADIMIR MOISEEV
General Manager

Born 13th April, 1963, in Moscow, he is a member of one of the most distinguished choreographic families in Russia. In 1981 he graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and joined the Bolshoi Theatre where he is a leading character solo dancer.

From 1988 to 1992 he studied at the Russian Academy of theatrical arts, from which he graduated as a producer-choreographer. In 1996, he was awarded the title “Honored artist of Russia”. In 2001, he co-founded the “Russian National Ballet Theatre” now called Moiseev Russian Classical Ballet, where he stages his versions of classical and modern ballet.

EVGENY AMOSOV
Artistic Director

Born 12th January, 1958, he graduated from the Perm Academy of choreography in 1976 and joined the Ekaterinburg Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet as a principal dancer. He has won prizes at both Russian and international dance and choreography contests. In 1988, he was awarded the title “Honored artist of Russia.” Since 1990, he has been a leading solo dancer at the State Theatre Russian Ballet.

From 1993 till 1998 he also continued his choreography studies at the Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts. In 2001, he co-founded the Russian National Ballet Theatre, now called the Moiseev Russian Classical ballet, where he stages a number of classical and modern choreography productions. Such ballets as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker have been a great success with the public both in Russia and in other countries during the company’s tours.

Natalia Kungurtseva NATALIA KUNGURTSEVA
Odette/Odile

Born in 1975, Kungurtseva is a graduate of the Ufa Choreography College where she studied under Professor Gulimova. She has worked with the Russian National Ballet Theatre and with the Moscow City Ballet. She was a winner at the 1993 Japan-Naginata Ballet Competition. She dances leading ballerina parts in Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Giselle and Chopiniana.

VALERY SHUMILOV, Prince Siegfried
Shumilov graduated from the Novosibirsk State Choreography College in 1988 and immediately joined that city’s theater company. A winner of the Vaganova Competition in 1988, he danced with Gordeev’s Russian Ballet before becoming a member of the Russian National Ballet Theatre in 2004. He dances principal roles in Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, Spartacus, Don Quixote, Carmen, and Giselle.
