WICHITA – Wichita Grand Opera’s 2004-2005 Children’s Chorus will make their on stage debut this season in Puccini’s La Boheme on April 2 & 3, 2005. The production takes place at Century II Concert Hall at 8:00pm on Saturday, April 2nd and 3:00pm on Sunday, April 3rd.
Wichita Grand Opera’s Children’s Chorus consists of twenty-two children ages 9 – 14. They have been rehearsing for the production since the middle of February. The children attend the following local schools: Wineteer Elementary (Derby), The Independent School, Wichita Collegiate School, Wilber Middle School, Elpaso Elementary (Derby), Oatville Elementary (Haysville), Mars Middle School, Truesdall Middle School, and Hyde Magnet. Wichita Grand Opera’s Children’s Chorus is selected through audition by the Artistic Director, Margaret Ann Pent.
Tickets for La Boheme are $30, $50, and $80. Senior, students and military receive a 10 percent discount with identification. Group rates are available.
