JOSH ARMENDARIZ Josh Armendariz is a Wichita native, and has been a member of the Wichita Grand Opera chorus since his senior year of high school. He has performed roles including Spoletta in Tosca, Dancaïro in Carmen, and covered Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni at the Opera in the Ozarks summer festival, and performed Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte at Wichita State University. Last season as a WGO Young Artist he understudied Goro in Madama Butterfly, Raoul de Saint Brioche in The Merry Widow, and Tonio in The Daughter of the Regiment. This season he will understudy Ruiz in Il Trovatore and Alfredo in Die Fledermaus. He graduated last spring from Wichita State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance. |
