PAUL SMITH


Anglo-American Singer/Conductor Dr. Paul Brodene Smith has performed in more than ten countries including engagements in the United States, Germany, England, France, Egypt, Austria and the Czech Republic. In addition to his vast repertoire of some fifty operatic roles Dr. Smith has served as conductor or associate conductor for opera and musical theater productions of La Traviata, La Fille du Regiment, A Little Night Music, Dido and Aeneas, As Thousands Cheer, L’incoranazione di Poppea, and La Cenerentola, in addition to numerous choral works. He has conducted for the Wuppertaler Bühne, Opera Cairo, Opera Classica Europa, Wichita State University, University of Illinois, and the University of Nebraska at Kearney. After serving as WGO's chorus master for the past two seasons, Don Pasquale will be his conducting debut for Wichita Grand Opera.
